We journey on off road tracks, camp under the stars on Aboriginal lands and relive the trip of these pioneering and brave women
Overview of the Journey
Touring starts in Alice Springs with all the women enjoying a night of meeting and greeting and donning their petticoats. Hear about the original tour from participant Edna Bradley along with viewing footage from 1957.
The following morning we then start our journey to Ayers Rock. Enjoying a variety of experiences along the way. We make our way along the dirt roads that are not often traveled, following as closely as possible the original route taken by these women. Arriving at Ayers Rock in the late afternoon we make camp.
The following morning we journey to the base of Uluru before traveling out to Aboriginal lands for another nights experience.
The next days brings our journey to a close as we travel back to Alice Springs or those that wish can fly direct out of Ayers Rock Resort.
We say our fond farewells as those women did 60 years prior with memories that will remain with us for a lifetime.
Includes: Accommodation for 3 nights with all camping equipment (other than sleeping bag and pillow), all meals from Dinner Day 1 to Lunch Day 4, Fully guided touring with minimum of 10 and maximum 25.
