KINGS CANYON

Travel to the Watarrka National Park at the western end of the George Gill Range to behold impressive Kings Canyon. Climb the escarpment to take in the magnificent views of the Red Centre then embark on the Rim Walk through the beehive-like sandstone domes that are haven of more than 600 species of plants. Kings Canyon is considered botanically the richest region in central Australia. Marvel at the canyon walls rising more than 300 metres from the valley floor.

Detour to the Garden of Eden, a permanent waterhole surrounded by lush plant life, or look for zebra finches, grey headed honeyeaters and black breasted buzzards flying between the rocky outcrops.
